NGX Regulation Limited (NGX RegCo) is a subsidiary of Nigerian Exchange Group Plc. (NGX Group Plc.) and a Self-Regulatory Organisation (SRO) registered by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to provide regulatory services in the Nigerian capital market.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Listings Analyst

Location:  Lagos

Job Summary

• The NGX RegCo seeks an exceptional individual who has experience in comprehensive pre-Listings analysis of applications, conveys approval of Rules and New Business Committee (RNBC) to Stockbroker(s) to the issue and post approval interface with issuers.

Responsibilities

• Conduct preliminary and detailed review on all applications submitted to NGX Regulations.
• Review Financial Statements with a view to enabling informed investment decisions.
• Review and analyse listings application documents to ensure adequate disclosures of information and adherence to Listing Requirements.
• Identify lapses in applications and liaise expeditiously with professional parties.
• Convey approval of RNBC to Issuers through Stockbroker(s).
• Provide post-approval interface with Issuers to ensure the Listings process is initiated within three months of the approval of the application.
• Collaborate with other regulatory agencies to ensure strong regulatory environment.

Person Specification & Required Qualification(s)

• University Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Banking and Finance, Law or related fields.
• MBA or professional qualifications in Finance are an added advantage.
• 3 to 5 years’ post NYSC work experience in a financial sector.
• Adequate knowledge of IFRS, securities legislations and corporate governance principles and codes and tax laws.
• Proven ability to accurately analyse financial ratios.
• Self-motivated, enthusiastic and result oriented.
• Flexible and adaptable.
• Committed to high standards and continuous improvement.
• Possessing superior organisational skills and detail orientation.
• Ability to maintain the strictest level of confidentiality and express high standards of professionalism.
• Transformative mind set, visionary and goal oriented, team player, enthusiasm to acquire and share knowledge, self-disciplined, self-starter.
• Must be able to build strong partnership and relate with staff on an enterprise basis.
