Job Description
- A top brand is seeking a skilled and experienced Head Tailor to lead the team of tailors in the garment manufacturing business.
- The Head Tailor will be responsible for managing and coordinating the production of the garments and ensuring that the products meet the high-quality standards.
- The ideal candidate will have a strong background in garment manufacturing, excellent tailoring skills, and experience in managing a team of tailors.
Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate the production of garments to meet production schedules and quality standards.
- Oversee the work of tailors, ensuring that all garments are tailored to specifications and quality standards.
- Identify and resolve tailoring issues and discrepancies.
- Order and maintain stock levels of materials and equipment used in tailoring activities.
- Collaborate with designers and pattern makers to ensure that garment designs are suitable for production.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for tailoring activities.
- Ensure that all tailoring activities comply with safety and health regulations.
- Train and mentor junior tailors.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- O'level or equivalent qualification. A Degree in Fashion Design or a related field is a plus.
- 3+ years of proven experience as a Head Tailor or similar role in garment manufacturing.
- Expert knowledge of tailoring techniques and equipment.
- Ability to interpret garment designs and patterns.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of garment construction and production processes.
Salary
250,000 / Month
