Job Title: Further Mathematics Teacher

Location: Edem Idim Ishiet / Onna, Akwa Ibom
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Purpose

• The successful candidates will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons, assessing students' academic progress and creating a positive learning environment that promotes academic excellence, discipline, creativity and critical thinking.
• Candidates must demonstrate strong subject knowledge, effective communication skills and a genuine passion for teaching and inspiring young minds.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Further Mathematics lessons in line with the approved school curriculum.
• Teach advanced mathematical concepts, including calculus, algebra, mechanics, statistics and other relevant topics.
• Develop students' analytical thinking, logical reasoning and problem-solving abilities.
• Prepare lesson plans, instructional materials, assignments, tests and examination questions.
• Assess students' performance and provide constructive feedback.
• Prepare students for internal and external examinations.
• Identify students' learning difficulties and provide additional academic support where necessary.
• Maintain classroom discipline and accurate academic records.

Qualifications and Requirements
Interested candidates should possess the following:

• Bachelor's degree (B.Sc./B.Ed./B.A.) or HND in a relevant discipline.
• A teaching qualification or professional teaching certification (TRCN) will be an added advantage.
• Previous teaching experience is desirable.
• Strong knowledge of the relevant subject area.
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
• Ability to prepare lesson plans and deliver effective lessons.
• Good interpersonal skills, patience and a passion for working with children.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Commitment to students' academic success and personal development.
