Job Purpose

• The successful candidates will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons, assessing students' academic progress and creating a positive learning environment that promotes academic excellence, discipline, creativity and critical thinking.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver effective Business Studies lessons in accordance with the school curriculum.
• Teach business concepts, including entrepreneurship, commerce, marketing, business management and office practices.
• Help students understand real-world business operations and commercial activities.
• Encourage entrepreneurial thinking, creativity, decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• Prepare lesson notes, assignments, teaching materials and examination questions.
• Monitor and evaluate students' academic performance.
• Provide additional academic support to students where necessary.
• Maintain classroom discipline and accurate academic records.

General Responsibilities
Successful candidates will be expected to:

• Maintain high standards of teaching and professional conduct.
• Create a safe, supportive and engaging classroom environment.
• Promote discipline, integrity, respect and good moral values among students.
• Participate in staff meetings, school events and extracurricular activities.

Qualifications and Requirements
Interested candidates should possess the following:

• Bachelor's Degree (B.Sc. / B.Ed. / B.A.) or HND in a relevant discipline.
• A teaching qualification or professional teaching certification (TRCN) will be an added advantage.
• Previous teaching experience is desirable.
• Strong knowledge of the relevant subject area.
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
• Ability to prepare lesson plans and deliver effective lessons.
• Good interpersonal skills, patience and a passion for working with children.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Commitment to students' academic success and personal development.
