We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Security Officer (Man O’ War) / Farm Hand

Location: IIjebu Ode, Ogun
Employment Type: Full-time
Working Schedule: Shift basis (rotational day and night shifts, including weekends and public holidays as scheduled)

Summary

• We are seeking a hardworking and physically fit Security Officers (Man O’ War) / Farm Hands to join its team at Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State.
• Successful candidates must be ready to be trained. They will be responsible for securing the company’s farm, poultry pens and facilities, and for assisting with loading, offloading and general farm work.

Key Responsibilties
Security:

• Guard the farm, poultry pens, stores, offices and processing facilities against theft, trespass and damage.
• Control access at the gate and check visitors, vehicles, goods and staff movement in and out.
• Patrol the premises regularly, including fences, pens and stores, and report suspicious activity or security risks.
• Prevent theft of feed, eggs, birds, drugs, fuel, tools and equipment.
• Keep a security log, visitors’ book and incident reports, and hand over properly at the end of each shift.
• Report security breaches, losses and emergencies immediately to management.
• Help enforce biosecurity rules at entry points, such as footbaths and restricted access.

Loading, Offloading and Farm Work:

• Load and offload feed, eggs, birds, raw materials, products and equipment from vehicles.
• Count, stack and arrange goods properly in stores, and assist with stock checks.
• Assist the stores and farm teams with daily tasks such as moving materials, cleaning and general farm work.
• Handle goods carefully to prevent damage, spillage and loss.
• Follow safe lifting and manual handling practices, and use protective equipment.

Requirements and Qualifications

• SSCE or OND qualification
• 2-3 years of experience in security, farm work, or loading and offloading.
• Must be ready to be trained.
• Physically strong, well-built, and able to lift heavy loads and work outdoors.
• Honest, disciplined, alert, and trustworthy.
• Willingness to work rotational shifts, including nights, weekends and public holidays.
• Willingness to work on a farm and in poultry pen environments.
• Ability to follow instructions and work well in a team.
• Ability to read, write and keep simple records.
• Candidates must be of good character and may be asked for a guarantor and a police report.
• Man O’ War or other security training is an added advantage, but not required.
• Training: Provided to successful candidates.
