Job Title: Dispatch Rider

Job Summary

• We are seeking a responsible, reliable, and experienced Dispatch Rider to handle the timely and safe delivery of company documents, products, packages, and other assigned items.
• The successful candidate must have good knowledge of Lagos roads, demonstrate excellent riding skills, and maintain professionalism while representing the company during deliveries.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle the timely and safe delivery of company documents, goods, packages, and other assigned items.
• Ensure all deliveries are made accurately and to the appropriate recipients.
• Plan efficient delivery routes to ensure prompt service and minimise delays.
• Maintain proper records of deliveries, including delivery notes, receipts, and acknowledgements.
• Ensure the motorcycle is properly maintained, clean, and in good working condition.
• Conduct routine checks on the motorcycle, including fuel, tyres, brakes, lights, and engine condition.
• Immediately report mechanical faults, accidents, delays, or other challenges encountered during assignments.
• Ensure the safe handling and protection of company items while in transit.
• Comply with all traffic regulations and road safety requirements.
• Maintain courteous and professional relationships with customers, vendors, and business partners.
• Ensure proper accountability for company property, cash, documents, and items entrusted to them.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Minimum of SSCE/WAEC qualification.
• Minimum of 2 years' proven experience as a Dispatch Rider.
• Valid motorcycle riding licence.
• Good knowledge of Festac Town, Amuwo Odofin, and other parts of Lagos.
• Excellent riding skills and knowledge of road safety regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret delivery instructions and navigate routes effectively.
• Physically fit, punctual, disciplined, and dependable.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• High level of honesty, integrity, and accountability.
• Previous experience working with a supermarket, retail business, logistics company, or distribution outfit will be an added advantage.
