Job Summary

• We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee plant maintenance operations, ensure equipment reliability, minimize downtime and support efficient production.

Job Responsibilities

• Oversee plant maintenance operations to maintain overall plant breakdown levels below 5%.
• Ensure preventive maintenance compliance of above 95% through effective planning, scheduling and execution.
• Monitor and control energy, fuel and water consumption in line with established plant standards.
• Conduct daily equipment inspections, identify maintenance priorities and ensure timely resolution of faults.
• Coordinate and supervise preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance and emergency breakdown activities.
• Monitor equipment performance, track recurring faults and maintain accurate records of breakdowns, downtime and pending maintenance jobs.
• Manage critical spare parts inventory, maintenance records, equipment repairs and vendor follow-ups.
• Plan and lead maintenance projects, ensuring timely execution and effective utilization of resources.
• Allocate maintenance manpower and assign daily tasks to technicians and other maintenance personnel.
• Train, guide and develop maintenance technicians to improve team performance and technical competence.
• Coordinate maintenance schedules, equipment shutdowns and handovers with the Production Department.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental standards, stopping any equipment or work activities that pose safety risks.
• Prepare and submit regular reports on equipment breakdowns, preventive maintenance status, downtime, pending jobs and daily energy consumption.
• Raise requests for critical spare parts, equipment repairs and other maintenance requirements through the appropriate approval process.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 6years' relevant experience in plant or industrial maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience in managing plant maintenance operations, breakdowns and preventive maintenance programmes.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical and industrial plant equipment maintenance.
• Experience in maintenance planning, spare parts management, equipment troubleshooting and vendor coordination.
• Good understanding of energy management, fuel consumption and utility cost control.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, supervise and develop a team of maintenance technicians.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational and project management skills.
• Good knowledge of occupational health and safety standards.
• Excellent reporting, communication and coordination skills.
