Job Title: IT Support Officer (AI & Graphic Design)

Job Summary

• The IT Support Officer will be responsible for providing technical support, maintaining the company’s IT systems, utilizing Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools to improve productivity, and creating professional graphic designs for the company’s branding, marketing, and communication needs.
• The ideal candidate must possess strong IT troubleshooting skills, knowledge of AI tools, and practical graphic design experience. The candidate should be creative, innovative, detail-oriented, and capable of supporting the company’s digital operations.

Key Responsibilities
IT Support and Technical Operations:

• Provide technical support to employees and resolve hardware and software issues.
• Install, configure, and maintain computers, printers, scanners, and other office equipment.
• Troubleshoot network connectivity, internet, email, and system-related problems.
• Manage software installations, updates, and basic system maintenance.
• Assist with data backup, file management, and information security.
• Maintain IT equipment records and ensure proper use of company technology.
• Support employees in using office applications and digital tools.
• Escalate complex technical issues to external service providers when necessary.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Digital Tools:

• Use AI tools to improve workplace productivity and automate routine tasks.
• Apply AI tools to generate ideas, draft content, summarize documents, and support research.
• Use AI-powered tools to support content creation, marketing, and business operations.
• Identify opportunities to streamline workflows through AI and digital solutions.
• Assist employees in learning how to use relevant AI tools effectively.
• Verify AI-generated information and ensure that outputs are accurate and appropriate.
• Ensure confidential company and client information is handled securely when using AI tools.

Graphic Design and Branding:

• Design professional flyers, posters, brochures, banners, and company profiles.
• Create graphics for social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and WhatsApp.
• Design promotional materials, presentations, business cards, and other corporate documents.
• Develop creative visual content for marketing campaigns and company announcements.
• Maintain consistency with the company’s approved logo, brand colours, fonts, and design guidelines.
• Edit images and videos when required.
• Collaborate with the HR, marketing, and management teams to develop creative content.
• Prepare designs in suitable formats for digital publication and printing.

Digital Administration and Reporting:

• Support the maintenance of the company’s website and other digital platforms where required.
• Assist with online meetings, presentations, and other technology-related activities.
• Maintain organised digital files and company records.
• Prepare reports on IT issues, equipment usage, and completed design projects.
• Recommend relevant software and digital tools to improve business operations.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Performance will be evaluated based on the following:

• IT Issue Resolution: Timely resolution of reported technical issues.
• System Availability: Reliability and proper functioning of office IT equipment.
• Design Quality: Quality, creativity, and professionalism of graphic designs.
• Timely Delivery: Completion of assigned designs and IT tasks within agreed deadlines.
• AI Utilisation: Effective use of AI tools to improve productivity and work processes.
• User Satisfaction: Employee satisfaction with IT support services.
• Brand Compliance: Consistency of designs with approved company branding.
• Data Security: Compliance with company policies on data protection and information security.
• Record Keeping: Proper documentation of IT issues, equipment, and completed tasks.

Educational Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, HND, or relevant qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Graphic Design, or a related field.
• Relevant professional certifications in IT support, graphic design, or AI tools will be an added advantage.
• Practical experience may be considered alongside formal qualifications.

Experience Requirements:

• 4–8 years of relevant experience in IT support, graphic design, or digital operations.
• Demonstrable experience using AI tools for work-related tasks.
• A portfolio of previous graphic design projects is an advantage.
• Experience supporting employees and troubleshooting technical issues is desirable.

Required Skills and Competencies:

• Strong computer troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking fundamentals.
• Practical knowledge of AI tools such as ChatGPT and other AI-powered productivity applications.
• Proficiency in graphic design tools such as Canva, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, or CorelDRAW.
• Knowledge of video editing tools will be an advantage.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and creativity.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Good organisational and time-management skills.
