Job Title: Customs Clearance Specialist

Location : Lagos

About the Role

• We are seeking a hands-on Customs Clearance Specialist to coordinate the import and export clearance of heavy-duty machinery and spare parts.
• The role requires strong documentation skills, practical customs handling experience and effective shipment coordination from port to warehouse.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and check import/export documentation, including shipping documents, customs declarations and required permits.
• Coordinate clearance activities with customs agents, customs officials and other relevant stakeholders.
• Track shipments, resolve documentation and clearance issues, and communicate shipment status.
• Coordinate port-to-warehouse movement and handover with logistics and warehouse teams.
• Maintain accurate shipment, clearance and compliance records.

What You’ll Bring

• Bachelor’s Degree, HND, or equivalent qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transport Management, Business Administration, International Trade, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience clearing heavy-duty machinery AND spare parts is essential.
• Strong practical experience with import/export documentation and customs handling is vital.
• Ability to coordinate agents, officials and internal teams through the clearance process.
• Strong attention to detail, record keeping and shipment follow-through.
• Candidates who have worked as Import–Export Officers with the required machinery and spare-parts clearance experience are encouraged to apply.
